ROSE MANDEL, is the president of Mandel Productions a special events and entertainment company. Producing fashion shows, fundraisers, new product introductions, industrials, corporate events and private parties. Mandel Productions additionally provides marketing, concept, design and printing services to businesses.

Currently Rose is also the director, choreographer and fashion coordinator for Fashion Theatre™, creating inspiring fashion shows and events nationwide.

Founder of Diva Gurls, an upscale high fashion jewelry, handbags, accessories and specialty garment business. Special Events Chicago, a party planning, staffing and services business, serving residential and business parties and events.

Rose was the former publisher and executive editor of SE Chicago (Special Events Chicago) for five years, a successful bi-annual magazine and resource guide.

Beginning her career as a professional concert dancer, Rose studied with The Ruth Page Foundation (Chicago Ballet School), Stone Camryn, Lou Conte and Betsy Herskind. She was awarded scholarships with the prestigious American Ballet Theatre in New York, Joel Hall Dancers in Chicago and the Giordano Dance Center in Evanston. Additional education included majors in Psychology and Theatre at Northeastern Illinois University. Rose went on to expand her talents as a performer and choreographer in theatre, industrials, nightclubs, television and modeling.

Rose has been an innovator and driving force, producing unique shows and events. She was the founder and artistic director of Stardancers a dance company first to perform the styles of classical ballet, jazz, disco and funk to popular contemporary music in nightclubs, theatres and corporate events. Her imaginative style crossed over to the fashion world—working with major department stores, designers and boutiques producing spectacular fashion shows and training new models for runway. She performed and choreographed for her brother, renowned guitarist, Harvey Mandel. She has received awards for Best Choreography from the Illinois Choreographer’s Showcase to the Chicago Voguer’s Ball. Rose was also nominated by Today’s Chicago Woman Magazine’s—“Woman to Watch” and was recognized by Mayor Daley and the City of Chicago for her contribution to special events.

Rose was the dance critic for the monthly publication, Roy Leonard’s Going Out Guide. In addition she utilized her production experience and resources for the fight against cruelty to animals, and furthering research and awareness for AIDS. The Animal Ball and Blades for AIDS – Kut-A-Thon— were two original fundraising events she created and produced. Rose was also appointed to the executive fundraising committee that developed the first annual Red Hot Chicago in association with the Apparel Industry Board, Chicago Sun-Times and the Walter Payton Foundation.

Rose taught dance and master classes at major dance studios and park districts in the Chicagoland area. Developed creative children’s programs at various public schools and was on the faculty at Northwestern University for eight years. She also conducted a Fashion Production Practicum class, and produced and directed the acclaimed Illumination fashion event for The International Academy of Design and Technology.

From a fashion show finale to a corporate event, her work reflects imagination, artistry and detail—thru discipline and boundless energy. Rose is the epitome of a true professional!
